LAKENHEATH, UK – Beginning the first week of April, Lakenheath Middle School transformed its academic environment into a training ground for future leaders. During the lead up to the May 4th DCAS testing week, the school adopted the rallying cry, "May the Scores Be With You," setting the stage for a month of intensive preparation and high morale.

Jedi Mind Training & Daily Readiness

To ensure every student was equipped with the necessary mental fortitude for the DCAS, The school launched a daily communication initiative. These "Jedi Mind Training" sessions provided consistent, tactical practice for the upcoming assessments.  Daily Briefings: Emails sent nearly every day by Mr. Smith with the subjects "Jedi Mind Training" and "DCAS Jedi Training Sessions."  Tactical Questions: Students were challenged with DCAS-style Literacy and Math questions, that were Star Wars themed, to sharpen their analytical skills. Response Protocols: Students who submitted correct answers via email were entered into a random drawing held during lunch periods. Mission Rewards: Successful trainees received prizes including books, pencils, candy, and cookies to sustain their motivation.

Galactic Reinforcements Arrive

On the eve of the DCAS testing, the morale at Lakenheath reached an all-time high with the arrival of special tactical advisors from a galaxy far, far away. This surprise deployment was designed to provide a final boost of motivation before the "battle" began.  Darth Vader provided a commanding presence to remind students of their inner strength. A Stormtrooper assisted in maintaining formation and discipline during the morning and a Mandalorian inspired students with the creed: “This is the way (to academic success.”)

The team met students at the arrival buses, maintaining a high-visibility presence throughout the halls and visiting classrooms. Their mission was clear: motivate every student to do their absolute best on the upcoming DCAS.

Mission Launch: May the FOURTH Be with You!

As the calendar turns to May 4th, 2026, the training phase is officially complete. The students of Lakenheath Middle School have proven themselves to be dedicated trainees, and with the support of their "Jedi Masters" and the visiting reinforcements, they are ready to conquer the DCAS.

A special thanks to the DCAS testing Coordinator at LMS, Ms. Taylor Murray and her team.  Also, a special shout out to the entire staff for taking on the Jedi challenge and prepping our students for maximum success.

Good luck to all students—the Force is strong with Lakenheath!
